Winter has returned to the Rockies and we are going all-out to get ready to kick-off our 80th Anniversary winter season next Saturday. Taking advantage of the crisp temperatures and snowfall we’ve had the past few days, we fired up our snowguns on November 5 and they are making short work of the lower mountain.
Opening Day Details:
- We will be open from 10am-4pm
- Most of the Lower Mountain expected to be open as well as the Beginner Area
- Early season pricing will be in effect – Full Day Ticket at Half Day rates (Adult $30/ Youth $15/ Child $5/ Senior $15)
- There will be a ceremony to welcome back winter outside the Lodge at 9:50am
- We’ll be open Saturdays & Sundays from 10am-4pm until Christmas (see full schedule)
We are excited to announce our new “Learn to Turn” Program that offers a very affordable path to becoming a skier or snowboarder, not just trying out the sport. Our flexible 4 lesson series ($225 total includes lesson instruction, lift passes and rentals) takes participants through the very basics all the way to being comfortable skiing intermediate runs, having a bunch of fun and building confidence along the way.
The best part… “Graduates” of the 4 week series will receive a FREE 2018/19 Season Pass, 50% off Season Rental Package and 25% off Next Year’s Season Pass (up to a $400 value). Opening weekend can get a bit hectic in the ticket office. To get you on the slopes quicker, we are pleased to offer pre-printing of season passes for passes purchased in advance of opening day. Just purchase your pass online at www.passpowderkeg.com/home/season-passes, email us your profile photo and we’ll have your passes ready to pick up in advance (waiver required to pick up passes). Follow our Facebook page as we’ll be announcing dates and times when passes can be picked up in the days leading up to Opening Day.
To have your passes pre-printed, please send an email to info@passpowderkeg.com with the subject “Order *number* Passholder Photos” (order number can be found on your emailed payment receipt). Include individual photos for each passholder along with the full name. If sending more than one photo, give us some sort of hint to connect the names to the photos.
Some tips for photos:
-Your photo must be a color head shot with no sunglasses or hat. We need to see you!
-Please look straight ahead with a natural expression as you would for other photo ID.
-Photo must be a headshot, including the shoulders, neck, and head only.
-Background must be plain (example a light colored wall).
Season passes remain on sale at our lowest price of Adult $199/ Youth $125/ Child $25/ Senior $125 until December 10. If your family is greater than 4, you only pay for the 4 highest priced passes and the rest are free (Details). 4+ months on the slopes at these prices??? Thanks to all who came out to the annual Ski Swap last weekend. We hope that you all found the gear that you were looking for. If not, please join our PPK Snow Gear Swap Facebook group to buy and sell quality used gear. New this year, we are also offering Seasonal Equipment Rentals where purchasers can use our fleet of rental equipment all season long. This might be a good option for children who seem to be growing a cm or two a week or anyone looking to ski and snowboard, but doesn’t want to purchase 2 sets of equipment.
Getting back on the slopes also means getting your gear tuned and ready. A proper wax and tune makes a big difference in extending the life of your equipment and increases the fun you’ll have on the slopes. Stay tuned to our Facebook page where we’ll be announcing early season specials on wax and tune-ups. Once we open, you can leave your gear and we’ll wax and tune it during the week so its ready to go the following weekend.
