Keeping You, Our Employees & Our Community Safe

Keeping You, Our Employees & Community Safe

We are excited to welcome you back for skiing and snowboarding this winter. We will all play a part in making this season a success and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding. We know how important getting outside will be this winter and we are confident that we can provide a great option for you and your family to enjoy time together and stay active out in the fresh air.

Please remember that we’re operating in a very dynamic environment. While we have laid out our current plans, we’re ready to adapt and adjust as needed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, patience and adherence to the operating guidelines set out below.

For everyone’s safe enjoyment of the hill, if you are ill, please stay home.

What to Expect

What to Expect

  • Pass Powderkeg will be operating in compliance with CMOH Order 44-2021. Proof of Vaccination will NOT be required to access lifts or indoor areas.
  • To comply, indoor areas will be restricted to 1/3 capacity, Food & beverage will be by take-out only and there will be no indoor seating.
  • Season Passes can be purchased online. Once you’ve purchased, your online account will allow you to upload photos ahead of time; this is our strong preference.  For pass pick up, office hours outside of operating hours will be made available for pass purchasers to get photos taken, passes printed and waivers signed.
  • Lift Tickets, Lessons, Rentals and Packages will all be available for pre-purchase online. On weekends and holidays, products will be ready for pick up from our White Outdoor Tent After those times or on week days, they will be available to grab and go from the Ticket Office.
  • If you require rentals, please arrive early. We will be limiting people permitted in the rental shop area.  If you are pre-booking rentals, ensure your sizes are accurate as to reduce the time in our shop.
  • New this season – Season Pass waivers are available to be signed online ahead of time.
  • Face coverings are mandatory while in any indoor space.  Face coverings must cover the mouth, nose and chin.
  • Face coverings are strongly recommended outdoors.
  • 2m social distancing is required while indoors or outside from others who are not within your cohort.
  • Lessons will be available with the expectation that guests maintain a 2m physical distance at all times from others within the lesson.
  • The lodge will be running at 1/3 capacity on the main floor and bottom guest services floor.
  • There will be no indoor seating available at this time.  However, there will be outdoor picnic tables for you to enjoy.
  • Masks are required indoors per provincial health guidelines.
  • We ask that you limit your time inside to allow everyone the opportunity to get what they need.
  • No Bags or Gear can be stored in the Lodge.  Guests are asked to use their vehicles for storing gear.
  • Guests are asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the Lodge.
  • All food and beverage will be take-out only.
  • Please follow any and all signage you see at Pass Powderkeg.
  • Bathrooms will have reduced capacity and may have some wait times.  NEW this season, there will be a heated washroom trailer at the bottom of the Lower lift.
  • Group lessons will function similar to normal.  Our lesson group sizes are already small for more effective teaching.
  • If you are self-isolating or symptomatic, please re-book your lesson.  We don’t charge penalties for re-scheduling lessons.
  • You will be able to book a Cohort Lesson. Bring your Cohort/Bubble with you and learn to ski or snowboard together.
  • Our Little Cubs program will run with fewer children. One parent/guardian will be asked to drop child off in the yurt. Due to the small space within the yurt, we ask that the parent/guardian wear a face covering.  Rentals and Lift Tickets will await you in the yurt – no need to come to the lodge.  Children will go out 1 on 1 with an instructor who will be wearing a face covering for the duration of the lesson.
  • Instructors will wear a face covering whenever 2m physical distancing is not possible.
  • For the safety of guests and our staff, please DO NOT VISIT if any of the following apply:

    • Live in a household with someone with COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19 or who is self-isolating due to possible exposure to COVID-19.
    • If you have travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks or been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks.
  • We ask that guests strongly consider wearing a face covering during their visit.
  • Maintain social distancing of at least 2m where possible.
  • Leave immediately if you begin to show signs or symptoms of illness.
  • Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. Sanitizer Stations will be available throughout the facility.
  • Please note and follow on-site signage.
  • Do not share food, drinks, utensils, etc.
  • Be kind.
