What to Expect

What to Expect

  • Season passes can be purchased online. Once you’ve purchased, your online account will allow you to upload photos ahead of time; this is our strong preference.  For pass pick up, office hours outside of operating hours will be made available in October and November for pass purchasers to get photos taken, passes printed and waivers signed. If you would like to come up and see us in person, send us an email or Facebook message to arrange a time.
  • Lift Tickets, Lessons, Rentals and Packages will all be available for pre-purchase online. On weekends and holidays, products will be ready for pick up from our outdoor table from 9:30-11am.  After those times or on week days, they will be available to grab and go from the Ticket Office.
  • If you require rentals, please arrive early. We will be limiting people permitted in the rental shop area. Face coverings are strongly recommended for your safety as well as our staff.  If you are pre-booking rentals, ensure your sizes are accurate as to reduce the time in our shop.
  • Face coverings will be strongly recommended in indoor spaces and areas where 2m distancing is difficult.
  • When in the lodge and seated, you will be able to remove your face covering to eat or drink.
  • Staff will be advised to wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible.
  • We do not expect to limit outdoor capacity this season.  We may re-visit this if the local situation changes.
  • You will not be asked to ride the lift with anyone you didn’t arrive with.
  • Lift line mazes/gates will be set up to increase spacing.
  • The lodge will have reduced seating and to allow for more space between groups.
  • We ask that you limit your time inside to allow everyone the opportunity to get what they need.
  • We will have additional outdoor seating and heaters on both decks, as well as in front of the lodge.
  • Expect simplified food and beverage options. Utilizing our new online menu, you will be able to order from anywhere on the ski hill and pick up at the lodge.
  • Please follow any and all signage you see at Pass Powderkeg.
  • Bathrooms will have reduced capacity and may have some wait times.
  • We will be increasing the frequency of cleanings of high touch surfaces, both during operations and after-hours.
  • Additional hand sanitizer stations will be located in the lodge and around the base area.
  • Group lessons will function similar to normal.  Our lesson group sizes are already small for more effective teaching.
  • If youare self-isolating or symptomatic, please re-book your lesson.  We don’t charge penalties for re-scheduling lessons.
  • You will be able to book a Cohort Lesson. Bring your Cohort/Bubble with you and learn to ski or snowboard together.
  • Our Little Cubs program will run with fewer children. One parent/guardian will be asked to drop child off in the yurt. Due to the small space within the yurt, we ask that the parent/guardian wear a face covering.  Rentals and Lift Tickets will await you in the yurt – no need to come to the lodge.  Children will go out 1 on 1 with an instructor who will be wearing a face covering for the duration of the lesson.
  • For the safety of guests and our staff, please DO NOT VISIT if any of the following apply:
    • If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
    • Live in a household with someone with COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19 or who is self isolating due to possible exposure to COVID-19.
    • If you have travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks or been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks.
  • We ask that guests strongly consider wearing a face covering during their visit.
  • Maintain social distancing of at least 2m where possible.
  • Leave immediately if you begin to show signs or symptoms of illness.
  • Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. Sanitizer Stations will be available throughout the facility.
