DESCRIPTION:Winter has arrived and we’re opening on Saturday\, November 19 to welcome another great season at PPK.  Our Lower lift will be spinning from 10am-4pm. \nWe will be open this Saturday and Sunday\, kicking off the winter from 10am-4pm with the Lower Lift and Handletow operating. Only intermediate terrain will be available this weekend off of the Lower lift.\nDue to renovations\, the lower level will not be available.  Tickets and passes will be available for purchase on the main floor. Food and beverage will be open with all of your favourites to start the season off just right.   \nTo make the season start even smoother for you\, we’ve got 3 days of pass printing going on up at the lodge so stop by Weds-Fri from 12pm-8pm to get yours printed.\nPlease note – we will not have rentals or lessons available this weekend. \nSee you on the slopes!

DESCRIPTION:  \n \n\nA Wintervention classic\, the races will take place up at the Pass Powderkeg lodge area from 1-4pm on Sunday February 13. Teams of 3 (either 3 adults\, 3 youth or a combination of youth and adult) will race against another team. First team to cross the finish line will win.\n\nSIGN UP: Please email cnp40youth@gmail.com with your team members and team name.\n\nRules:\n1. All team members must submit a signed waiver.\n2. Children must be 12 years of age or older. Waivers must be signed by a parent or guardian in order to race.\n3. Two teams will compete against each other and the first entire sled with participants to cross over the finish line will win the race.\n4. The “Musher” may push start the sled up to the start line.\n5. Once the sled has crossed the start line\, the mushers feet must remain on the sled in order to not aid the sled across the finish line EXCEPT at the turnaround zone.\n*Any infraction of the above rules may result in team disqualification.\n\nTeam Rules:\nTeen category: 3 teens age 12-17\nAdult category: 3 adults age 18+\nFamily: Combination of teens and adults.\nTwo people will pull the sled and one will be the musher.\n\nEquipment provided. SUMMARY:Human Sled Dog Races
DESCRIPTION:Wintervention is back with the classic Human Dog Sled Race hosted by 40 Developmental Assets and Pass Powderkeg Ski Area! \nGo head to head in a race against time in this thrilling 400ft race to the finish. Teams of 3 will race to have the best time in order to win their category. Races are hosted at the PPK Lodge. Participants must be over the age of 12 and must complete a signed waiver/release of liability document. Participants under the age of 18 must have an adult or guardian sign the waiver. \nTeam Categories:\n– Teen (ages 12-17)\n– Adult (ages 18+)\n– Family (teens and adult combination). \nTeam Rules:\n1. All members must submit a signed waiver/release\n2. Children must be 12 years of age or older. The waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.\n3. Two teams will compete against one another and the first entire sled with participants to cross over the finish line will win the race.\n4. The “Musher” (team member on the back of the sled) may push start the sled up to the line.\n5. Once the sled has crossed the start line\, the “Musher”‘s feet must remain on the sled in order to not aid the sled across the finish line\, EXCEPT at the 200’ turn to head home. \n*Any infraction of the rules above may result in team disqualification. \nExcited? DESCRIPTION:In partnership with Riversdale Resources\, we are excited to offer another after-school program this winter.  Give your kids an altitude adjustment by enrolling them in the Riversdale Rippers Après School Program; a unique five week program which focuses on skill development\, learning\, mountain safety and FUN! \nThe price of this program has been subsidized by Riversdale Resources’ generous donation in an effort to provide affordable access and promote active lifestyles for the youth of our community. \nPrice: Each 5 week session costs $125+GST and includes all instruction\, lift tickets for the sessions if required and rentals if required. \nAges: This program is offered to children of all abilities aged 6-13. Students will be split into groups based on age and ability. Lessons are then customized for their skill level. \nDates/Times: Participants must be at the lodge ready to begin lessons promptly at the times below.
